Charge roaming subscribers for GPRS data due to their using a TAP format older than TAP3. This feature is designed to accept charged calls on the TAP 3 interface which do not have an equivalent call type in TAP1/TAP2/TAP2+.
EDCH can convert from any release of TAP3 to an earlier TAP format and generate Mobile Originating call records in the lower format thereby allowing a client to bill their subscribers and ensure a one-to-one conversion process with no loss of revenue.
For outgoing GPRS records, EDCH offer a CDR-to-TAP conversion service. Clients can send their raw Message Switching Centre data directly to EDCH and the call records will be rated and converted to TAP. Using this service, clients will send their raw GPRS records separately from any pre-TAP3 files. EDCH will then rate, convert and include the GPRS records with other call records in one TAP3 format file and send it to its destination. |
