Near Real Time Roaming Data Exchange (NRTRDE) is a GSM procedure that requires operators to exchange roaming records in near real time using a defined NRTRDE method to handle roaming fraud. The existing bilateral roaming fraud prevention procedures based on the current High Usage Reporting (HUR) process (FF.04) shall be replaced with this NRTRDE method (FF.18) effective 1st October 2008
The main objectives for this NRTRDE initiative are as follows:
• Replace the existing High Usage Report (HUR) process with the NRTRDE procedure for all GSMA members to implement.
• Reduce the required timeframe for delivery of roaming fraud data from the VPMN to the HPMN from 36 hours to a maximum of 4 hours.
• Provide individual CDR information in sufficient form to allow operators to manage roaming fraud.
