DATA CLEARING
Our Data Clearing services provide a total solution and a single source of support for GSM network operators that are time and cost effective. All TAP files received from the Clients destined to their Roaming Partner operator or vice versa will be checked, processed and validated as per GSM Association guidelines.

The following will also be checked in TAP files received at EDCH and will be notified to Client and Partner operator as and when the TAP files are processed.

l Duplication in call records within and across TAP files, are checked up to 3 months data.
l After taking Clients approvals, TAP files containing minor errors will be automatically corrected and processed to avoid any unnecessary delays.
l Provision to reject files containing data older than 30 days is available to EDCH Clients.

EDCH will follow up with the Client from one side and the partner operator or corresponding clearing house from the other side for all pending, rejected and missing export and import files for transmission to ensure no further delay

In addition EDCH offers an array of supporting services that provide a peace of mind to the discerning Client.
Conversion of TAP files
EDCH offers conversion facility to its client for conversion of TAP files between all TAP standards, ie TAP1, TAP2, TAP2+ and TAP3 Services.

TAP3 Services: EDCH provides processing and format conversion for all TAP3 format version files. The EDCH solution is developed on industry specific Abstract Syntax Notation (ASN.1) flexible format encoding mechanism including browser capability.

CDR Conversion
EDCH offers a filtering and format conversion service for roaming data generated on the GSM switch. EDCH CDR scheduler can receive switch data from the client's site, perform content verification, rate the call based on predefined rating criteria (IOT tables) and format the data into TAP (universal format) for onward transmission worldwide.

Rejects & Returns Files
R&R provide an automated standardised method for handling incorrect TAP Data without delaying charged valid data. EDCH supports full implementation of the Rejects and Returns file process on behalf of the client. This procedure is integrated in the processing of all TAP3 format version 2 upward files. EDCH offers total solution including RAP files generation, processing and exchange facility.
Inter Operator Tariff (IOT) Check
The IOT Check facility ensures that files received from our clients roaming partners are checked for charges, making sure they are in accordance with the IOT, defined in the roaming agreement between the client and their roaming partner.

IREG/TADIG Cross Validations
Increase in roaming agreements equals increase in revenues and for many operators TADIG/IREG validation testing may take longer than their roaming plans do, EDCH offers a service that will complement and assist your ongoing TADIG validation/cross check. By providing us with completed IREG test sheets in addition to the TAP test files, EDCH will be able to speed up your process and assist you in realising your target plans.

GPRS Support
For incoming GPRS traffic, EDCH have implemented an interim solution for Clients who are at present unable to handle GPRS data. This feature is designed to accept charged calls on TAP3 interface which do not have an equivalent call type in TAP1/TAP2/TAP2+.

A conversion takes place from TAP3 to a lower TAP format generating mobile originating records in the lower format thereby allowing HPLMN to bill his subscriber and ensuring a 1 to 1 conversion process without any loss of data.
